Chevy Unveils New Bolt

Chevrolet unveiled its new Bolt this week at the Detroit Auto Show, billing the $30,000 car as an EV for everyone that will get some 200 miles per charge. The new car is designed to compete with Tesla’s forthcoming III, which will also sell for around $30,000 and offer similar range and technical specs.

Chevy also rolled out an upgrade to its flagship hybrid, the Volt. Next year’s model will have an all-electric range of 50 miles (compared to the current model’s 38 miles) and 41 miles per gallon from the reserve gas engine once the battery has been depleted. It will also seat five as opposed the current model that only accommodates four.
